Article about Goodleg Toys in a German Newspaper
You know, in the days of the internet, print media is getting less and less important. It still feels different though, when you find an article about your work in a printed magazine or newspaper, and not on a blog or something. Especially when it’s a German newspaper!
We already mentioned it before I think: This country doesn’t have any proper resin or art toy scene at all. But we’re working hard to build one up over here! That’s also what our regular exhibitions at JungBusch Berlin are aiming at.
This was also where reporter Hauke Hirsinger came our way. By accident! He’s working for a newspaper in Bremen, and stayed in Berlin over the weekend with a friend. The evening we opened our 2nd JungBusch exhibition, he suddenly stood in front of us, asking: “Guys, just one question: WHY?!” Of course this question was asked from a reporter’s point of view. And even though Hauke isn’t a collector, he was blown away by the resin stuff we’re doing. The thing is, if you’re not into this kinda stuff, you never really get in touch with it over here. Due to the absence of a proper scene. Hauke simply has never seen anything like it before.
He was so stoked, he promised us to hook us up with an article in the newspaper he’s working for. Said and done! Here’s the outcome!
Here’s the downloadable article in PDF.
